June 12 Community Gathering

On June 12th, 2025, over 40 Snowsville Community Members gathered at the East Braintree Church to share a meal and discuss their hopes for the future of their Village. The Snowsville Community Trust (STC) organized this event to meet several goals:

• Create an opportunity for Snowsville community members to come together, share food, and enjoy each other’s company

• Introduce the newly formed Snowsville Community Trust and its mission

• Hear input from residents on what they would like to see happen in Snowsville in the future

• Create recommendations on priorities for action for the Snowsville Community Trust

Following a series of conversation prompts and group activities, the following “action categories” emerged as priorities for what the community would like to see happen in Snowsville:

• Create Community Space

• Hold Regular Community Events

• Increased Housing Options

• Create Place for Kids to Recreate

• Create Amenities for Tourists

• Slow Traffic

• Children’s Center / Daycare

• Enhance Village Environment

• (Improve) Trails

• Re-establish the (General) “store”

From these “action categories,” the group voted on their top three priorities. The three that received the most votes were:

• Host Regular Community Events

• Re-establish a store

• Increase housing opportunities

As Snowsville Community Trust moves forward, they will use these priorities to help guide their decisions as they work to purchase a building in the Village of Snowsville.
